General Assembly Meeting (First Quarter)
March 23, 2025. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our first general meeting of the year! We had a great turnout as we discussed exciting upcoming events and initiatives for 2025. We’re also thrilled to welcome three amazing new members to our Board of Directors: Kathy Sweis Barcham, Indira Sweis, and Dr. Owen Sweis. Welcome aboard!
Winter Gala 2025
January 25, 2025. Thank you to all who attended our Winter Gala! We had a full house. Positive energy of unity and empowerment was felt throughout the room. Congratulations, once again, to our Scholarship Award Recipients Alexander Sweis, Jovanna Sarena, and Yara Swaiss! We wish you and all of the incredible applicants continued success ahead. Congratulations, also, to our Distinguished Honoree People for People supported by Chicago Sister Cities. Special thank you to Nabil Nemeh & Band for an incredible performance, keeping our guests dancing until midnight.
Civic Engagement & Community Outreach Event
October 20, 2024. What an OUTSTANDING turnout for our civic engagement and community outreach event this afternoon! Thank you to all who generously donated to the trauma closet for Advocate Christ Medical Center. And special thank you to all who attended, including our elected leaders in government and in the judiciary. We are thankful for the opportunity to partner together for such a great cause.

July 6, 2024. An incredible success for our 1st Annual Golf Outing Scholarship Fundraiser & Award Luncheon! We had a full house as family and friends came together for a wonderful cause. Congratulations to Dr. Maha Sweis for receiving the 2024 Excellence in Teaching Award! We look forward to the next steps of building our first ever scholarship fund! Stay tuned!
Converse & Connect: Professional Networking Event
March 23, 2024. With over two dozen leaders representing various industries, from medicine to law, engineering to academia, entreprenuers to IT, and so much more, we are so proud of the success of our first professional networking event and the many connections made, drawing over 100 guests. Presentation of State Proclamation
January 30, 2024. We are excited to announce that the Sweis(s) Professional Network was presented with a State Proclamation, an official declaration from the Secretary of State, announcing the establishment of the organization and recognizing its importance to the State of Illinois and to the nation. We look forward to a promising future for all of our members as we combine our individual strengths to better serve one another and the community at large.
Inuagural Reception
December 14, 2023. The Sweis(s) Professional Network hosted its sold out Inaugural Reception with resounding success at the Grand Ballroom of Ruffled Feathers Golf Club.
